Description
Mid 20th Century Rosewood Rectangular Side Table
Designed by Severin Hansen
Produced by Haslev Møbelsnedkeri (labelled on the underside)
Made using rosewood veneer on solid hardwood.
The surfaces have the distinctive rosewood grain pattern with a satin lacquer finish
The legs have been created with Severin Hansen’s unmistakeable 3-way mitred angled legs which taper down to the foot, the simple square design typical of Severin Hansen’s designs.
In 1952 Kund Windahl Pedersen and Henry Aunbirk built Haslev Møbelsnedkeri with Hans Severin Hansen as a co-owner. Severin Hansen was behind most of the designs with Kund Windahl involved with the design development and production. The pieces were then displayed in Severin Hansen’s showroom in Copenhagen.
