Mid 20th Century Curved Teak Desk – Model 180
Designed by Svend Age Madsen in 1956
Manufactured by Sigurd Hansen Mobelfabrik (marks on the underside of the drawers)
Made in Denmark
This curved teak desk has six drawers to the front and an open bookcase on the reverse side of the desk.
The drawers have recessed handles and compass legs fixed to either side of the desk. The desk also has a raised lip above the bookcase, which has been carved from solid teak.
A quality piece which has been designed with great attention to detail.
There are some signs of wear to the desk top (including some fading on the surface)
Condition report:
Good Original Condition – Good condition with some signs of wear commensurate with age and use.
There is some fading to the desk surface
There is a chip in the veneer on the edge of the right hand side (approx 1.5cm X 0.5cm) and two deep scratches on the edge of the left hand side (approx 1.5cm X 0.1cm)
