This brightly coloured poster was used on the transport network to advertise The Bethnal Green Museum and the toys and dolls contained there. London Transport used these types of posters to advertise the places you could visit using the transport network. The poster was available to purchase at the poster shop in Marylebone – “This is a reproduction of a poster designed for London Transport” is printed at the bottom of the image in black text as it was for sale during the period.
The Passage at the bottom describes the various styles and periods of dolls and toys available to view at the museum.
The poster has been newly professionally framed with a glazed black wooden frame.
Condition report:
Good condition – there are some signs of wear commensurate with age
