Designed by Niels Gammelgaard and Lars Mathiesen under the brand Pelikan Design in 1992.
Produced by Fritz Hansen (this example is labelled 2006)
Constructed from angled vertical beech wood slats. The piece rests on three feet, the two end feet are metal stabiliser plates which help to support it.

Pelikan Design
Pelikan Design was co-founded in 1978 by Niels Gammelgaard (1944) and Lars Mathiesen (1950). They are both trained architects at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen during the 1970s. They have worked on a broad range of different design pieces from stationary to large furniture (both commercial and domestic) using differing materials. Pelikan Design incorporates distinctive considered design elements with a minimalist approach.

Condition report:

Good Condition – Good original condition with some signs of wear commensurate with age/use.
One slat is slightly bent (not easily noticeable)
Some slight marks on the foot plates.
