Anders Pehrson was born in Gothenburg 1912. Following an engineering degree he began to work as a design manager at Philips in 1952. In 1964 his purchase of Ateljé Lyktan was crucial for the company's future. He came to create countless design classics that put Ateljé Lyktan on the world map. He focused on mass production for the lamps he designed. His Bumling design, which was launched in 1968 at the Gothenburg lighting fair has become one of Sweden's greatest successes. His love of colour has given his designs a distinct characteristic.
