Description

Mid 20th Century Teak Side Table
Designed by Severin Hansen for Haslev Mobelsnedkeri (There are no attached labels)
Made in Denmark
Made using teak veneer on solid hardwood
The teak is medium/dark and has a warm hue, with a satin lacquer finish.
The legs have been created with Severin Hansen’s unmistakeable 3-way mitred angled legs which taper down to the foot, the simple square design typical of Severin Hansen’s designs (a calloboration between Severin Hansen Sr and Severin Hansen Jr).
In 1952 Kund Windahl Pedersen and Henry Aunbirk built Haslev Møbelsnedkeri with Hans Severin Hansen as a co-owner. Severin Hansen was behind most of the designs with Kund Windahl involved with the design development and production. The pieces were then displayed in Severin Hansen’s showroom in Copenhagen.
