Description
Mid 20th Century Teak Sideboard
Designed and manufactured by Bernhard Pedersen & Son (marked on the base and beneath the top drawer)
Made in Denmark
Two sliding tambour doors conceal four shallow drawers and three adjustable shelves (these sit on brass supports)
Two of the drawers have been lined with green baize (in good condition) the third and fourth have a wooden lining. The drawers are constructed using finger joints, adding an additional quality.
The tambour doors are made with exceptional quality and look like a single piece of wood.
The handles are placed vertically on the doors and have an organic design
The sideboard came in two lengths (this is the longer of the two) with bespoke drawer and shelf combinations available when originally made. This piece has recently been reintroduced by the original manufacturer Bernhard Pedersen & Son, due to its timeless look and exceptional quality.
The reverse side of the sideboard is finished with real wood and would look good either against a wall or positioned centrally in a room.
