Scheurich Keramik is a well known ceramic manufacturer still in production today
The company was founded and started as a wholesale glass and porcelain business in 1928 by Alois Scheurich and Fridolin Greulich. In 1954 they started to produce ceramics using the first electrical kiln. During the 1970s Scheurich were producing striking pieces with bold colours and lava effects, popular at the time and synonymous with the West German ceramic aesthetic that we are familiar with today.
