Mid 20th Century Armchair Designed by Danish Designer Peter Hvidt (1916-1986)
Manufactured by iconic Danish manufacturer Fritz Hansen est. 1872 (marked FH on the base)
Made during the 1940s/1950s
The base of the chair is sprung, has a button back design and short oak legs
It has been newly reupholstered hand stitched in Kirkby Design Fleck Eco Blossom K5260/33
Fritz Hansen is probably one of the best known names in Danish furniture manufacturing, due to the company’s experimental techniques with steam bent beech which together with world renowned designers such as Arne Jacobsen, Hans Wegner, Peter Hvidt & Orla Molgard-Nielsen created design icons which remain a success even today.
