George V Post Box Savings Bank.
Money box shaped as a red post box from between 1910-1936 during the George V era.
The money bank reads “G R, Post Office, Savings Bank”
The paper label is cream with black lettering and has decorative details.
The metal is painted dark red
The moulded metal box has a rounded top with a coin slot.
There is no way of opening this money bank without damaging it, so it is best used as a decorative piece.
Condition report:
Good condition – There are signs of wear commensurate with the age of this piece
The top is worn and has lost some paint, there are also some other scuffs over the entire piece.
The label on the front has become discoloured and has some marks
