Mid 20th Century Rosewood Nesting Tables By Severin Hansen For Haslev

SOLD

Description

Mid 20th Century Rosewood Nesting Tables
Designed by Severin Hansen
Produced by Haslev Møbelsnedkeri (each table is labelled on the underside)
The two larger tables are rectangular, the smaller table is square. Made using rosewood veneer on solid hardwood.
The surfaces have the distinctive rosewood grain formation and are finished with a high gloss oil finish.

The legs have been created with Severin Hansen’s unmistakeable 3-way mitred angled legs which taper down to the foot, the simple square design typical of Severin Hansen’s designs.
In 1952 Kund Windahl Pedersen and Henry Aunbirk built Haslev Møbelsnedkeri with Hans Severin Hansen as a co-owner. Severin Hansen was behind most of the designs with Kund Windahl involved with the design development and production. The pieces were then displayed in Severin Hansen’s showroom in Copenhagen.
