Mid 20th century ceramic vase
Light blue glaze with a dark blue mottled glaze unevenly covering the top quarter of the vase.
Mirror finish to the glaze, almost giving the impression of glass.
Made from white clay
Made by Arklow Pottery – Makers marks on the base of the vase.
Made in The Republic of Ireland
Arklow Pottery opened in 1935 by Minister of industry and commerce Sean Lemass. In September 1962 John ffrench became art director at Arklow.
The pottery closed in April 1998.
Condition report:
Good original condition – good condition with some minor signs of wear commensurate with age.
